Head Of Neuromorphic Computing
CurrentCreation and lead of the Neuromorphic Computing group, focusing on spiking neural networks and neuromorphic applications for robotics and sensing. I define the strategy and vision of the group, create ideas and projects and recruit, motivate and develop team members.➔ My role is to transfer academic research to industrial applications through publicly funded projects and direct contracts with companies. My group has gained expertise in neuromorphic control of robotic arms, fast event-based vision, edge AI, green super low power AI, human machine interaction with gestures. I present our work through prototypes in the Fortiss Labs.Results: 13 completed or running projects with large partners and SMEs (proposal success rate: 70%), academic collaborations with Intel Labs, IBM Research, TU Munich, EPFL, Univ. Waterloo, Univ. Côte d’Azur, FZ Jülich
