I was in charge of the Math instruction for over 80 students in 8th grade. I created my own curriculum as well as worked with the 8th grade Eureka Math curriculum. This position also involved working with other educators to design experiences for the students that would push their personal growth as well as ensure they performed well on the PARCC and MAP tests.

As the Algebra 2 team leader, I was responsible for the creation of the curriculum for 2 other teachers as well as collecting data about the team as a whole. From this data, I would lead sessions to discover best practices from our team that could be implemented within the group. I was also in charge of ensuring student growth on the Algebra 2 End-Of-Instruction exams through pre and post assessments.

I taught 6 classes of 30+ students in ranging level of high school mathematics (Geometry through AP Calculus). From August 2013 to June 2015, I was the Algebra 2 Team Lead. I was in charge of creating the curriculum for the Algebra 2 team, gathering and analyzing data, as well as promoting best practices among the group.

During the Summer Institute in which over 100 incoming teachers came to Oklahoma City, I was in charge of the coaching and development of 9 future teachers in the Oklahoma City region. My responsibilities included providing professional development sessions based around teaching, reviewing lesson plans they wrote, as well as in-class coaching over the course of the summer.
