Joining Pediatrix Medical Group as the Oracle Cloud Portfolio Director for Accounting & Finance was an enriching chapter in my professional journey. At Pediatrix, a renowned healthcare organization with a vast network of 8500 clinicians/nurses and 200 dedicated employees on the corporate side, my tenure was marked by a significant initiative in collaboration with Accenture. The objective was to comprehensively understand, augment, and eventually take over the Oracle implementation, a vital backbone for the organization. The journey began by closely working with Accenture, ensuring a seamless transition.`Initially, I had a watchful eye over Accenture's implementation until 2021, when I took the reins of the platform. This transition was not without its challenges, navigating through intricate landmines left by the initial implementation. Undeterred, I built a robust internal team, comprising 4 full-time employees and coordinating with 12 offshore counterparts, to firmly support the Oracle infrastructure.Following are the highlights of my accomplishments in this role:• I advocated for the adoption of Oracle by further enhancing the system with audit support and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) protocols.
