• Schedule Purchases and Arrivals: • Schedule shipping and delivery times. Present to receive any orders, and verify that the correct items and amounts been delivered.• Maintains and updates shipment files and register. Administers freight insurances. Administers cargo loss claims• Implements/ maintains transport, shipping, import and export procedures.• Preparing instructions related to L/C• Maintain Inventory: • Verify current inventory levels and keep records to prevent inventory gaps. • Note when inventory is low and it is time to order new products• Forecasting product needs and ensuring appropriate product selection.• Managing Free zone withdrawal• Review and Place Purchase Orders: • Checking purchase order before placing any order for accuracy completeness and clarity• Verify that product information, shipping information, cost and delivery dates are all correct before obtaining authorization to place an order.• Maintains procurement related registers and files up-to-date.• Maintains an accurate and up-to-date supplier information database for regularly local purchased items, and stays up-to-date of local market conditions & trends.
