As the primary client advocate for IBM's specialty retail clients in California, I help clients solve some of their biggest problems and strategically invest in innovations. I act as the global coordinator and project leader across all of the geographies participating in our operations transformation project. IBM's MobileFirst software portfolio includes all of the services that an enterprise needs for its entire mobile journey: device and application security, multi-platform and rapid-release application development, explosive data and tools to gain insights from that data, and user experience design that disrupts many processes and potentially, business models themselves. As a Solutions Executive, one of a few in the Worldwide Tiger Team, I would be called upon for pre-sales and sales engagements that introduced new business cases, new technologies, or would require new combinations of industry and technology expertise. Quite often I led and designed innovation workshops for clients who understood that mobile was disruptive but needed help facilitating the journey to truly take advantage of the potential from mobile. In addition to my duties in North America, I was chosen to lead the strategy and execute in Japan. This was a critical market in our partnership with Apple whose value proposition joined our portfolio in the summer of 2014. This Apple + IBM alliance as well as our thought-leadership in hybrid cloud infrastructure led to very successful market share improvements in both North America and Japan.
