About Ayala Gamburd

I have the training of a Senior Executive, the spirit and the drive of an Entrepreneur, and the instincts of a seasoned Investor. In my broad spectrum of experience, from startups to global companies, I’ve taken small teams and technologies and scaled them into thriving global organizations, bridging the gap from startup speed and savvy to large scale implementations in international partnerships. I dealt with everything - from company data conversion to back-end integrations. I have the ability to see the end state of a project, a building or a company. I see the potential and the possibilities (or lack thereof) across multiple variables simultaneously. Experienced in the art of accurate forecasting, I can assess the budget and time of a strategic implementation, from start to finish - with a very small margin of error. My vast experience as an Executive at the New York Times allowed me to understand the breadth of operations of a large corporation: departmental processes, needed governance and formalities of ROI justifications, Board approvals, budgeting and forecasting. I built new lines of business, expanded their geographical reach and distribution strategy, leveraged partnerships with sister media companies and was responsible for the implementation of new technologies including the very first data warehouses. My experience as a Technical Strategy Consultant and Program Manager for Telcos added the needed perspective of a small and nimble business delivering more with less. My experience as a real estate developer and investor brought deal making to the table. The aggregate experience of my career has given me a “Doctorate” in the art of finding opportunities and delivering results. My teams, my family, my friends and my colleagues know that when I have my mind set on a certain goal, it will get accomplished. MY APPROACH: ALWAYS START WITH THE END IN MIND.
