I am currently a second-year student at Dominican University pursuing a degree in business management. I am currently searching for an internship for this summer that fulfills the hospitality category as well as corporate. I am currently a hostess with Dineamic hospitality and have worked with them for almost two years this July. Being a part of the team has shown me many of my strengths such as being a team leader, being good at problem solving, and providing guests with good customer service. I really enjoy working in the hospitality industry and one day hope to be a part of corporate with a role in human resources.Here at Dominican University, I have been a part of an expo last semester where I was a team leader and came up with my own cleaning service business. The company was called Start Fresh Cleaning Services and what we were trying to find a solution with the company was to help give a fresh start to people who are struggling to find a job to help decrease poverty. Our sustainable goals were to decrease poverty as well as decent work and economic growth by providing jobs and giving customers a great service.This semester, for my LAS 201 class, me and my group have worked on a project where we are asking students at Dominican to donate any left over meal swipes that are left over at the end of the week to students who are food insecure. So far this semester, we have been successful and have received more than 500 meal donations from students on campus!I will be graduating in May, 2026, and plan to pursue a career in human resources near Chicago, IL. I am looking to be a part of a successful company where I am able to recruit employees, help train these employees, and make sure that labor laws are being followed. As of right now, I will continue to acquire new skills and grow my network professionally.
