Upasana is a trans illustrator and artist based out of Goa, India. Upasana’s work explores identity and personal narratives by using a visual remnant or evidence of the contexts they work with. They are especially drawn towards patterns which to them communicates complex truths about the past, present and future. Upasana has worked with organisations like UNESCO, AWID, Asia Pacific Transgender Network, Point of View and others. They have illustrated Skin Stories, an online zine about sexuality and disability, for three years and their work has been published in a book by the same name. Apart from this they have also illustrated 31 Adventures in Science: Women Scientists in India by Penguin India.
