• Manage a team of three reporters for the Entertainment Desk. • Edit, re-write stories for the Entertainment sector and assisting in community news. • Provide guidance to interns on how to write community and entertainment news. • Compile weekend Pullouts (conduct interview with sources). • Ensure 7-page entertainment section is ready for print daily with both local and international news. • Photography. • Attend conferences and media briefings. • Cover and report events ( from government calendar such as Parliament Opening, Budget Speech, King’s Birthday Celebrations, Umhlanga Reed Dance, Emaganu Celemony to festivals such as MTN Bushfire, Standard Bank Luju Food and Lifestyles Festival to name a few).
