I am a biotechnology graduate from CPUT, where I pursued my passion for advancing biotechnological practices in a collaborative and forward-thinking setting. I completed my diploma in biotechnology with a focus on post-harvest processing, which equipped me with quality control, HPLC, and laboratory equipment skills.I applied my knowledge and skills in a seven-months WBL at ARC, where I specialized in wine biotechnology. This contributed to a significant project that aimed to improve the quality and yield of wine products using innovative techniques and methods. I also gained valuable experience in working with a diverse and multidisciplinary team of researchers and experts.I am fascinated by the profound impact this field has on shaping the world around us. From revolutionizing healthcare with personalized medicine to tackling environmental challenges through sustainable practices, biotechnology holds the key to addressing some of the most pressing issues of our time.
