The organization operates programs in Payment Switching, Biometric Authentication and Grant Payments. My role as Technical Officer includes management of a department with the following teams, namely: Software Development, Helpdesk, Business Analysis and Quality Assurance. Further I work closely with Project Managers and Product Managers.The organization Chief Technical Officer role is charged with maintaining the relevance of the technology solutions offered by the organization. The skills I use the most are: research, relationship management, Industry Standards, Product Life Cycle, Software Development, Quality Assurance, ITIL, Customer Support, Team Motivation and Performance. The department is critical to four programs, namely:• An Interbank Switch (28 banks, 2 million clients)• A Government Biometric Ghost Employee Avoidance program (500 thousand employees)• An International Funds Remittance Gateway• A Student Grant Distribution Program (150 thousand students and educators)The last project is a successfully implementation of a Biometric grants distribution project (170 thousand farmers and 4000 Agriculture Retailers; underwritten by a single bank) Lastly I have participated in Technical Sales of Payments and Biometric Solutions in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ghana, Iraq and Tanzania.
