Mass Spectrometry Analytical Research (Dissertation Studies)• Investigated mass spectrometry applications of non-conventional ambient ionization technique desorption electrospray ionization (DESI) to bench-top and miniature instruments focusing on biological, forensic, pharmaceutical, and agricultural fields using qualitative and semi-quantitative methods• Explored fundamental mechanism based studies of a plasma ambient ionization technique, low temperature plasma (LTP), and investigated forensic and biological applications of this method using qualitative and quantitative methods • Interfaced differential ion mobility spectrometry (DMS) to a miniature mass spectrometer to improve analyte detection and ion transfer efficiency
