Amazon Game Studios- Working on unannounced customer facing RESTful web service aimed at improving in-game experiences for both core & casual gamers.- Built Amazon WebView overlay plugin for games on 1st party hardware, used for multiple client facing experiences. Handed off to central plugins team to provide in-game UIs for Amazon web services.- Designed & implemented in-game cross-promo widget for Amazon Game Studios titles under extreme one month dev cycle in time for Fire Phone launch- Worked on socket messaging service & plugins for multiplayer game. Plugin gives devs a message based event system to build on.- Built HTML5 Amazon Fun Facts client & launched it as Kindle Special Offer that saw ~20x click-through-rate on display ads vs. other offers running at that time.Kindle Touch Optimized Store (TOS)- Lead developer & architect of language agnostic internationalization framework. Allows independent launch of marketplaces & locales (languages, CSS, visual assets), resulting in TOS launching in six markets in October 2012, and positioned to launch any market or locale combination at any time.- Invented rapid algorithm for client side in-memory truncation of arbitrary content. Approach reduces average rendering latency of detail page from 1.1 seconds to 30 milliseconds on Android, and allows us to provide the show more/less feature on iOS devices, for which the team's earlier approach was intractable, improving customer experience on all surfaces.- Created simple system for handling out of order AJAX responses, removing all related bugs from our store, resulting in a polished customer experience and better performance. The system was far simpler than the team's original proposed approach, and could be implemented in days rather than weeks.- Determined root cause of multiple memory leaks in our store, leading to improved stability & performance.- Inventor on multiple patents (3 pending, 1 issued)- Inventor U.S. Patent 9,230,342
