Why do we require a transit intervention framework design; And not just for Space & Military applications?Three challenges face economically vibrant cities of the 21st century:A. Increasing contrast between mass public transport systems and individually owned private transport.B. Increasing numbers of private vehicles on roads managed only by expanding road capacities.C. Increasingly wider roads creating urban Heat Islands, confirmed by IR Imagery.These challenges have deep-rooted origins:1. Tracing back to King Louis XIV’s 1662 decree for "fixed routes and schedules," the foundations of our current mass transit design remain an inflexible 17th Century relic. Its rigidity and lack of privacy leads to inconveniences and delays, spurring adoption of private cars that alone align with relentless demands of a digital era.2. A density mismatch between three-dimensional urban habitation generating ever larger numbers of two-dimensional transport systems (the latter based on a combination of Wheels-on-Roman-era roads.)Liberating urban dwellers from antiquated constraints unsuited to a digital age requires redefining current paradigms of urban mobility, freeing commuters from ancient underpinnings of public transport - of fixed boarding points, rigid routes, dictated schedules, and class-based modal disparities.Recognizing urban mobility as a tapestry of individual journeys commencing at one's doorstep, any transformative philosophy on urban mobility needs a new thinking. One such paradigm shift de-constructs traditional approaches by advocating a decentralized 'ground independent, at-doorstep access', thereby helping challenge the stasis in revolutionizing transportation norms, frozen in place since the 17th century.The new system proposes running suspended autonomous Drones on custom suspensions, using elevated static-cable guide-ways tiered above roads, employing catenary load-spreader design, therein offering a viable scalable and safe solution, linking origin and destination of all urban journeys - from residences to transit hubs.
