Having a strong background of both technical and sales commercial experience in the marine industry for more than 17 years, I contribute in co-creating value with Marine industry players. Recently joined Steerprop, a Finnish propulsion company which builds the finest azimuth propulsors in the world. My role here as Regional Sales Manager for South East Asia, is to lead sales and promotes Steerprop solutions in the region.In my last position at Wärtsilä Ship Design as Regional Sales Manager/ Naval Architect, I was responsible for and leading ship design sales in South East Asia region, Middle East, Taiwan and other global countries depending on type of project. The focus was to initiate and capture ship design sales which is typically very early stage in the vessel life-cycle and to facilitates integrated equipment sales subsequently. This role involved current market analysis and identifying high potential future trends and closely developing business cases as well as leading initial concept design & technical discussion with clients. Projects involved covers various ship types: Offshore , Offshore wind, Merchant, small scale LNG feeder or bunker vessel, Tug, Power barge, etc. Experience in vessels with conventional propulsion, LNG/ Dual Fuel and hybrid battery. My past experience includes Branch Manager and Assistant Manager of Stability Calculation Department for Wärtsilä Ship Design Malaysia. Prior to that, I was a Naval Architect for Conan Wu & Associates and started my career as a Technical Executive in Malaysia Marine Heavy Engineering (MMHE) - Formerly known as MSE Shipyard.Being an avid road cyclist myself for the past 9 years, I have enjoyed the process of learning the cycling culture, rule, safety, putting efforts in building muscles, endurance and most importantly the practice of a strong mentality to push myself beyond the limit each time. The most recent amazing cycling tour that I have completed was in November 2019, a 680km+ Gran Fondo event in Yunnan, China over 6 days with max elevation of 3600m above sea level. With all the pain & sweat during long hours of hard training and achieving the goals at the end becomes my pride and motivation to challenge the next hurdle.
