I am a highly motivated recent university graduate who possesses experience in the childrens mental health, rehabilitation and support community. With a passion for helping others, I believe will prove valuable to any team.My previous experience working as a Behavioral Support Specialist at The Child Center, Youth Peer Support Specialist at Youth Era, and as a Social Services Assistant at Looking Glass Community Services gave me relevant experience working with vulnerable populations of children and families, and young adults in the Eugene community. I have useful training in ISP's and IEP's, safety planning, behavioral support, collaborative problem solving, mindfulness exercises, and de-escalation. The experience I gained while working at TCC, YE, and LGCS would make me a good potential candidate. As a child, I was also in and out of the Oregon DHS/ foster care system. My mother suffers from mental health and addiction problems, which has led to multiple incarcerations. I’ve been part of a vulnerable population, and often times wish I had positive role models growing up. From that, I have learned the value of sensitivity and understanding, as well how important it is to feel safe and nourished, especially for children in the state of Oregon. I would love the opportunity to serve my community and the young minds and future leaders of Salem.In my free time, I enjoy hiking and being active, being an ally to LGBT+ and BIPOC communities, singing, and interior design.
