A full professor in Electrical Engineering since 2016 and currently the Chair of the Electronic Engineering Dpt., MTC, Cairo, Egypt. Has an academic experience in USA (The Ohio State Univ.), Canada (Carleton U) and The Egyptian Military Technical College, aiming to fill the gap between academia and industry through enriching advanced R&D and pursuing high quality engineering education competitive at international level. Has 32 years of experience at leading academic institutions teaching and supervising students from various social and cultural backgrounds on both undergraduate and graduate levels.He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Excellent with Honors) in 1992 and his M. Sc. in 1998 from the Military Technical College, Cairo, Egypt. He received his Ph.D. Degree from Carleton U., Ottawa, Canada in 2004 concerning "Integrated Millimeter-Wave Oscillators". During 2014/2015 he was a visiting professor at ElectroScience Lab (ESL), The Ohio State Univ. (OSU), Columbus, OH, USA. He became a Full Professor in March 2016. Then he became the Head of Quality and Development Branch, MTC, Cairo, Egypt, 2016-2019 where he has been responsible for applying quality assurance program. He has been an Adjunct Professor in the Dpt. of Elec. and Comm. Eng., British University in Egypt (BUE), Misr International University (MIU), the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AAST), and Ain Shams University (ASU), Cairo, Egypt.Furthermore, he has been the co-founder and the head of RF circuits and systems group since 2005, where more than 20 grad students were awarded their Master and PHD degrees and another 5 are currently under research in hot topics of this field. His research interest is in exploratory and advanced development of design, fabrication, assembly, packaging & Testing of transceiver RF front-end systems for MW and MMW applications such as 5G, 6G, satellite communications, automotive anti-collision radars, System In Package (SIP) and active integrated antennas. He has co-authored over 40 scientific publications on peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. Some of them are selected for or awarded the best paper prizes. He is currently a reviewer in many journals, an Editor for the Journal of Engineering Science and Military Technologies and a Guest Editor for the IEEE Microwave Magazine.He is a member in many scientific organizations such as URSI, EuMA and IEEE. He started as an IEEE Student Member in1990, and a Member in 2005, then a Senior Member in 2022, in MTT-S, CAS-S, and AP-S.
