Solar thermal power systems - CSPThe tasks include:- Document the available measurement chain from solar radiation, and analyze the resolution and accuracy of each measurement methods.- Evaluating and analyzing of the performance of the CSP plant; including optical efficiency of the solar field, thermal efficiency of solar field and piping system.- Running the CSP reference plant and perform and prove the calibration of the measurement devices (flow meters, temperature detectors - PT-100)- Modeling empirically the Incidence Angle Modifier (IAM) of the parabolic trough and other geometrical loss factors of the solar field.- Modeling empirically the thermal loss factors of the solar field.- Producing a set of recommendations as to how the accuracy of the performance measurement to be improved.- Producing a “cost per point improvement” analysis of the improvement proposed.

- Controlling the execution of subcontracted mechanical works (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting and BMS) in accordance with technical, quality and safety requirements.- Co-operating with and providing the guiding lines to the section related subcontractors.- Being responsible to check all relevant drawings released for the execution of works are on site prior to commencement of the works.- Studying and controlling subcontracted works with regard to mechanical interfaces with other trades.- Setting up and review construction methods and construction procedures (Method Statements).- Checking all works of the related subcontractors prior to commencement of the following works.- Confirming the related subcontractors' daily sheets and construction reports and follow up the corrections of the documentation.- Controlling and co-ordination of all works in conjunction with the structural/architectural works and the section related subcontractor.- Enforcing all measures to prevent mistakes during construction of works executed by the department related subcontractor s.- Attending the daily co-ordination on site and the weekly progress meetings with the section related subcontractor.- Supervising 4 engineers and 60 workers.- Monitoring and following up the progress of works (milestone targets).- Co-ordination of the subcontractor's planning, quality assurance and quality control, safety and procurement departments.- Closing of punch list items in relation to technical clarification.- Controlling and monitoring the spare parts according to the main contract.- Controlling and preparation of technical documentation such as operation and maintenance manuals, quality dossiers and certified reports.

Handling HVAC, plumbing and firefighting construction and commissioning activities on site in accordance to the contract and project specifications. And coordinating and monitoring the subcontractors’ works.

- Production planning.- Material take off.- Supervising the work team in the factory (Fabricators, Fitters, Welders, and Painters).- Management of production lines and machines (cutting & drilling lines, sheers, press brakes, plasma & flame cutting machines, etc.).- Preparing delivery reports and arranging product shipments to the site.

Two to three months yearly (in Summer vacation);- Assisting maintenance team in preventive and corrective maintenance activities (mechanical and electrical) of the various steel forming and production machines in the factory.- Fabrication (and manufacturing) of metal machine elements using lathe and milling machines such as fitting tools, hydraulic pistons, cylinders, power screws, cutting tools (blades and punching heads)...etc.
