The Metro route is around 70 Km with 50 stations (elevated and underground) and around 70 trains). The Dubai Metro project is the winner of Cisco Award entitled “The Most Innovative Mobility Project of the Year” for 2009. • Managed the expansion, planning, and implementation of the Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) network based on state-of-the-art OFDM technology from Redline/InfiNet to serve SME and site offices in license and license-exempt bands.

• Responsible for 2G/3G Mobile Access Network development and implementation in du Network.• Managed the first swap RFP in du to swap 2G/3G Access Network in the north emirates region and to expand the network to cater for one million subscribers including specifications preparation, network design, response evaluation from 5 vendors, commercial negotiation and contract execution.• Supervised and managed the rollout of 1200 sites including site acquisition, civil work, RF planning, network design, implementation, and handover to operation/MS.

• Responsible for the Access, Core, and Transmission networks engineering, planning, sourcing, and rollout.• Managed and derived rollout and expansion projects from conception, through planning and design, delivery, implementation, acceptance to closure, and invoicing ensuring the planned business objectives are met. • Managed the first 3G network RFP and delivery including specifications preparation, vendor selection, network design, and contract drafting/execution and rollout (Budget; Phase 1: 250M SAR, Phase2: 180M SAR).• Managed the rollout of 2000+ turnkey sites (outdoor and indoor) from Ericsson, Nokia, Motorola, and Huawei including RF planning, site acquisition, sites construction, BSS/UTRAN design and engineering and implementation including BTS/Node-B, BSC/RNC, transmission backbone and integration with Core Network. • Managed Infrastructure sharing with Zain including GSM site sharing, tower sharing, transmission network sharing, and national roaming. • Managed nationwide network expansions RFPs to expand the access network (2000 turnkey sites), transmission network, and core network from 2M sub to 5M subs (Ph. 2) and from 5M sub to 7M subs (Ph3) from Ericsson, Motorola, and Huawei (Total Projects budget (Phase 2&3): 1.5 billion SAR budget).

• Managed the operation of the access, transmission, and core networks for the highly challenging region in Orange Egypt network (The Nile Delta region ~ 25k sqkm) for more than 5 years.• Overseeing vendors (Motorola, Alcatel, Nokia, and NEC), subcontractors, and Telecom Egypt, ensuring the agreed KPI/SLA is achieved and providing L2/L3 support, whilst achieving service targets of new entities.• Introduced the 1st DC in the Delta region and deployed Mobile core network and extended fiber network from Telecom Egypt and Managed the introduction and deployment of 1st GPRS data services in Egypt. • Managed all aspects of operational expenditure within the region to drive down OPEX costs. • Responsible for access, core, and transmission networks capacity upgrade and reconfiguration. • Managed (at the region level) a complete Microwave swap project from Sagem to Alcatel, Nokia, and NEC. • Reduced the number of TTs from 30 per week to less than 10 per week while the regional Network expanded from 300 sites to 1500 sites.

• Design and implementation of wireless networks in HF, VHF, and UHF bands (LMR, Trunking Systems, MW systems, SCADA systems, and Paging Systems).• Managed several major RFPs/Tenders for Wireless Networks with high-profile customers in Egypt including MOI, EEA (Egypt Electrical Authority), Civil Defence, Egyptian Army, and many Oil & Gas companies. • Prepared and delivered customer solutions, and bids, and proposed the best technical and commercial offer to the customer with Motorola Solutions plus direct technical and commercial negotiation with customers.• Introduced California Microwave as a new Microwave supplier and delivered the 1st project in Egypt. • Managed the 1st CDMA WLL network in Egypt to expand the fixed network with Telecom Egypt. • Managed several successful RFPs/Tenders for Wireless solutions with key customers.
