I have a Bachelor's Honours in Microbiology with years of research writing with publications. Currently seeking opportunities to work as a virtual assistant for academics in tasks including research writing, proofreading and editing, citations and referencing, and other forms of assistance required by academic researchers.As touching career growth, I have an interest in studying microbial pathogens, the diseases they cause, and the immune response to these disease processes; in other words I have an interest in studying infectious diseases and immunology. I am open to research opportunities and work in infectious diseases and immunology. One of the ways I have been able to work in these areas of interest has been through bioinformatics and molecular biology. I have used a number of online tools to work on bioinformatics-related projects, especially in immuno-informatics and vaccine design. Furthermore, I have used the R programming language and Bioconductor for computational processes in these areas. For bioinformatics in general, I am able to work with sequence data, various bioinformatics files and NGS data, for comparative genomics, phylogenetics, antimicrobial resistance and NGS data analysis. I also use R for statistical data analysis and visualization.
