Responsibilities  Performance Tuning, Maintenance, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery (HADR) Solutions Configuring and troubleshooting Always On, Clustering, Database Mirroring, and Log Shipping and Replication. Experience in Database Backup and Restore/Recovery, Query Optimization, Security, SQL Server Installation, Configuration of Stand-alone and Clustered environments, third-party tools for backup like Commvault Experienced in Migration/Upgrade (Side-by-side, In-Place Migration, OnPrem to Azure). Applying service packs and routine DBA operations like a database health check, index optimization, updating statistics, client/server connectivity, and capacity planning. Experienced with creating and supporting ETL processes, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Experienced in using Extended Events, Database Engine Tuning Advisor (DTA), SQL Profiler, Scripts, and other tools to resolve bottlenecks, deadlocks, and slow running queries Experienced in database security through configuring transparent database encryption (TDE) and dynamic data masking  Experience in Active Directory (AD) objects and user permissions. Experience working on Cloud (Azure) Manage Microsoft SQL Server database instances, on-premises and in the cloud. Build, configure, and maintain the environments to provide the highest levels of performance, availability, and security. Serve as a point of escalation to the various teams concerning data solutions. Produce appropriate documentation for deployment, configuration, and related processes for multiple systems. Work with technical staff and our business divisions on all things related to data operations. Collaborate with the Systems team to promote, re-use, and develop consistent technical build, implementation, and support processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES  Managed security roles, install updates, and patches.  Assist Sr DBA in design, prototype, manage and deploy areas of High Availability and Disaster Recovery HA/DR solutions. Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Support the Systems Administrator for the HADR team Support and maintain database servers and processes. Monitor system's health and performance before and after HA/DR. Ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time. Advocate and ensure query reviews adhere to company standards, benchmarks, best practices, and procedures Enforce and ensure documentation of database policies, procedures, and standards; Interface with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure that databases are properly configured, have appropriate levels of monitoring, such that necessary backups are being performed Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users Design, code, test, and debug custom queries per defined technical specifications Lead and manage the extraction, transformation, population and transfer of data files and databases
