Even though I took a different path after my high school, I have always been attracted to the field of IT and new technologies, which is one of the main reasons why I decided to retrain in the field of systems and networks by the way.During my training as a Systems and Networks Technician, I was able to acquire many of the skills needed to set up, manage and maintain a local network: firstly, by drawing up network addressing plans (subnetworks division, creation of VLAN/WLANs, diagramming/writing of technical documentation). Then by configuring the devices that compose a LAN (switches, routers, servers, etc.) and finally by securing it (through firewall and filtering rules on PfSense, setting up user shares/rights/permissions, updating via a WSUS server, backing up with VEEAM, using VPN IPSEC/OpenVPN, etc.). On the servers: the latter being either Windows or Linux, in a cluster or not, physical or virtualised with hypervisors such as VMWare or Hyper-V, I configured and rolled out specific roles depending on the needs. For example: Active Directory DS, DHCP, DNS, email with Exchange, Web with Apache, FTP, deployment server with Fog or WDS/MDT, VoIP telephony, monitoring with Zabbix, etc. For the user side, during my internship I used a ticketing tool to carry out various support operations (remote troubleshooting via TeamViewer, incident handling/follow-up, IT asset supervision/management, setting up PowerShell automation scripts). When necessary, I also accompanied a technician to carry out on-site troubleshooting or install new equipment (WiFi access point, end-user workstations, videoconferencing solution, etc.). I've also taken part in hardware troubleshooting/repair operations (battery changes, adding RAM, adding or changing hard disks, printer maintenance) and other similar operations such as disk cloning (via Acronis/Clonezilla). As part of my training, I was initiated to containerisation technologies with Docker, but also to Cloud Computing with Azure and the use of IPv6. Finally, as I have a strong interest in cybersecurity, in my spare time I try to keep up to date with the latest technologies/vulnerabilities through technological monitoring development. Moreover, I use online MOOCs (ANSSI, TryHackMe, HackTheBox, Fortinet, Microsoft Learn, etc.) to reinforce and deepen my knowledge of networks and, more specifically, IT systems security.
