My broad educational goals include mentoring other teachers, developing new curriculum, and engaging in project based learning through the application of STEM challenges. I have acted as a teacher for 7 years including teaching college, dual credit, and AP courses. Additionally, I have served as the mentor program leader and instructional supervior. My previous research was on the characterization and differentiation of dopaminergic cells from human embryonic stem cells for use as a cell therapy or drug screen for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. My long term goals include the understanding of neurobiology and neurodegenerative diseases through the management of research and development in related biotechnology fields.
