About Ayoze Duarte Ramírez
My name is Ayoze Duarte Ramirez. I was born and grew up in Lanzarote, Canary Islands. Then I moved to Madrid, where I completed my nursing degree and worked for a few years before I moved to the UK around 10 years ago.Currently, I work as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Team Leader at Southampton General Hospital, mainly in the Cardiothoracic Surgery and Cardiac High Dependency units. I have also done many shifts in Cancer Care and Infectious Disease units.I enjoy helping people, that's probably the main reason why I become a nurse. I believe that being a nurse is a great way to make a difference in people's lives. It is a profession that allows you to help people in a meaningful way, and it is incredibly rewarding to be able to make a positive impact on someone's life. I'm always looking to develop my professional skills, learning new ways of nursing and how I can apply this new knowledge to patient care. I consider myself an open-minded person who loves to work in a good, trusting team with whom I can share knowledge and learn from. Apart from work, I love music and tennis, but my passion would be travelling. I love to discover new nature, new people, and new cultures, and to see the different ways of viewing life that are out there.
