• Extensive experience liaising with stakeholders, project team members and contractors regarding project specifications and construction closures.• Achieved a reduction in traffic congestion and improved roadway safety by conducting site visits during the design and construction phase of MTO projects to assess traffic protection plan. With reference to OTM-Book 7 and existing traffic volumes, the devices for channelization, guidance and information were evaluated to eliminate excessive lane closures.• Coordinated road closures on major highways for capital contracts to maintain road network efficiency during construction. Negotiated multiple construction zones through clear communication to eliminate conflict between contractors and consequently eliminating delays for construction projects. • Performed Traffic Impact Studies to validate upgrades for major intersections. The studies are followed up by writing technical reports with reference to the Traffic Generation Manual to document the analysis. • Analyzed critical Vehicle Detection Stations (VDS) to provide lane restriction times for construction projects. Used quantitative data gathered by existing stations on Highway 401 to select critical VDS and effectively eliminate redundant stations.• Created graphics and visuals with ArcGIS software to communicate technical procedures and recommendations. • Received exceptional feedback from the MTO’s Regional Director on my presentation highlighting the projects completed during my summer internship.

• Conducted four-point flexure tests to analyze the behaviour of GFRP concrete beams as an alternative for reinforcing steel.• Determined deflection and flexural capacity of various elements by performing structural analysis using hand methods.• Arranged strain gauges, digital imaging, and linear potential meters to measure deflections and calculate flexure capacity.
