I am a bilingual and multicultural Psychology and Criminology graduate seeking new opportunities within both fields. I was born in Antwerp, Belgium but grew up on the island of St. Maarten where (organised) crime is prevalent both on the streets and amongst white collars. The island consists of a Dutch and a French side, divided by an uncontrolled border and is also a well-known hub for drug trafficking within the Caribbean and between Europe and North and Central America. My goal would be to find a position where I can join my two fields of expertise to positively contribute to my surroundings (whichever these may be at the time) and help the community in the best ways I know how. I would ultimately like to go back to my island in an attempt to do all I could to help reduce crime and provide safety and security to the citizens of the island.I understand that it is important to be versatile in any organisation and I am very eager to learn as well as apply my knowledge and acquired skills as much as I can. You may definitely call me a hard worker, as I put my all into anything I do, be it with or without the enrichment of a team. I consider my self an experienced traveler, as I very often travel back and forth between Belgium, The Netherlands and St. Maarten.
