I started Bhawani Water Solutions(Franchisee of Eureka Forbes) in 2013, my sole motive was to run a company that breaks even and is profitable. Seven (7) years into Bhawani Water Solutions, I learned that while the company was never into loss, it also never really took off in a way that satisfies me and makes me believe that I have taken a brand to wider and larger customer base. It was around 2020 that I started thinking of exploring new avenues that can not only satisfy my ambition to build a bigger and stronger brand but also provide an experience to my customers that they will remember it for long. The idea of starting a supermarket in Hardoi came to my mind and I began doing market research by travelling to cities such as Lucknow, Gurugram and New Delhi and visit some of the most popular stores. I was impressed how professionally these stores were run and vast variety of products they offered. At this time, I started working harder to turn my idea into action. I began working towards setting up a supermarket in Hardoi and then COVID stuck. During this time, I faced major health challenges at home due to COVID and had second thoughts on starting a supermarket in Hardoi. Somehow, the idea remained and so was the motivation on starting this venture even when I had to spend time running from hospital to hospital. My father’s support and my personal motivation drove me to launch a supermarket in Hardoi, first of its kind in terms of the products, ambience, customer experience and marketing strategy. There was always a fear of failing in the back of my mind seeing how the past ventures in my family had led to a sort of financial crisis. However, once I started Fresh Mart, there was a constant learning and great sense of satisfaction that started growing inside my seeing the joy in all the stakeholders involved- my family, employees, customers and people. I could sense that the past failures cannot define me. They can actually improve my future actions and ambitions. The same learning helped me to grow Fresh Mart by 100 % within a span of 2 years and took me to launch Arvind Store Franchisee in Hardoi. The owners of Arvind Store were convinced by my conviction of offering a brand to people of Hardoi which provides them seamless and high-quality clothing experience.
