My role at thinQbate involved business development for all of the startups as well as representing thinQbate at investor meets, pitching events and knowledge sharing sessions. I was also involved in raising investment for Cohort I and evaluating startups for Cohort II.

I was responsible for financial governance & operations governance.Financial Governance includes optimizing the organization P&L as well as working on Capex and Opex models for new restaurants, driving better return on capital.Operations Governance includes communicating all new product and process changes to all restaurants as well as being responsible for execution of the same.

My responsibilities included driving the growth and sales of McCafe in West & South India through streamlining day to day operations, product development and use of a coordinated Marketing Strategy. Since I have been involved in the project since its inception, it has required a lot of agility and risk taking.I was also responsible for process improvement in terms of Head Office deliverables to restaurants. I look at projects by analysing process breaks, performance gaps and then co-developing action plans with HODs to refine or if necessary, reinvent the process.

I spent 6 months training inside McDonald's restaurants working as a crew, and then up to Restaurant Manager, in an effort to truly understand how our stores operate. I then spent some time as an Area supervisor, looking after 5 stores. The training was specifically tailored to help me in my role of process improvement and leading McCafe.
