Capacity+ (formerly MDF Services) works directly with community-focused organizations to enhance program capacity and improve project design, grant writing, implementation, management and evaluation operations. Our services include: project design approaches that incorporate the latest in evidence-based best practices; assisting with funding strategies and preparation of winning grant proposals; implementation strategies and timelines; project management expertise that complements and strengthens an organization’s in-house capabilities; guidance on the development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks; assistance with identifying and implementing mid-course corrections; and, assistance with reporting requirements. By initially working closely with leaders and staff of organizations, MDF Services gains an in-depth understanding of client business models, operations and organizational priorities and incorporates this insight into program design.

• Achieved promotion from assistant professor to associate professor based on excellence in teaching, college service, and professional development• Lead an interdisciplinary team of educators, staff, and volunteers as chair of an annual conference for over four years. Last conference chaired, had over 200 participants from over 20 colleges and universities. The conference consisted of over 14 breakout workshops and presentations. • Created new online courses after successful completion of The Online Teaching Institute (OTI) Program. The program consisted of approximately 90 hours of activities extending over a four-month period. The program focused on how to use the principles of adult learning to create online courses.

• Managed and evaluated retention counselors and an administrative assistant in a student retention office • Spearheaded the implementation of a student monitoring program called the Early Alert & Response System (EARS). The system was developed so that instructors could alert the retention counselors early in the college academic year about students’ grades, attendance, and behavior that was considered at risk. These students were contacted and advised by retention counselors of corrective measures for academic improvement and college completion• Developed, planned, and marketed university workshops on topics such as study skills strategies, time management, and test-taking strategies

• Managed, recruited, hired, evaluated, and consulted to over 25 Adult Basic Education (ABE), GED, and ESOL instructors • Facilitated meetings, in-service education, and professional development activities for adult education, literacy, and ESL instructors and providers• Monitored and evaluated adult education, literacy, and ESOL classes located on the college campus and in the community by leading and conducting site visits
