I work with congregations and leaders to help them to listen and discern their invitation to participate in God's mission, to identify next steps in pursuing it, and to equip them with the tools to do so. My work also includes supporting the Bishop and other leaders in pursuing structural renewal in the Diocese.

I work with Valhalla Parish to keep people connected, to reach people beyond the regular Sunday congregation, to offer spiritual care, and to help the parish community to discern how they might deepen their work and service to the community now and in the years ahead. This work has included setting direction, facilitating discernment processes, financial management, and helping the congregation to adapt in an ever-changing public health environment.

As a member of the Cathedral’s senior leadership team, I facilitated innovative change efforts by developing processes and programs that increase the Cathedral’s impact and reach. I led change in the key areas of strategic planning, communications, and program development. In this role, I managed two departments, a small staff team, and over 70 volunteers. I ensured compliance with applicable provincial and municipal regulations, built partnerships with other organizations, and was accountable for over 15% of the Cathedral’s $2M budget.The focal point of this work was the transformation of the Cathedral’s 20-year old food programs from a charitable model to one pursuing justice. This transformation allowed the program to become more responsive to the needs of guests, volunteers, and staff. As part of this work, I was able to identify and attract over $500,000 in new funding from individuals and foundations.

At its heart, this work was about developing a new community amongst those harmed by a variety of expressions of faith. In response to a needs assessment of the local community, I developed community to gather and serve those on the fringes of institutional religion.

I coordinated youth ministry initiatives across Canada including the biennial Canadian Lutheran Anglican Youth Gathering (CLAY) and launched the annual Stronger Together gathering of Diocesan-level youth ministry leaders.The best part of this job was leading concept development and design of all aspects of Trailblazing, an online educational platform for youth workers in Canada.

I provided executive leadership and oversight to the Canadian branch of an international non-profit network. This included significant work establishing governance structures and operating procedures, developing international partnership agreements in compliance with federal legislation, fundraising, public speaking, and building sustainable partnerships with international communities seeking to provide relief, dignity and freedom for the poor in the majority world.

I brought attention and focus to youth ministry in the Diocese. This role included strategic planning, training, speaking, volunteer & event management, and program development. As a bridge-builder and intrapreneur, I redesigned existing programs, and served as a catalyst for a number of new ministry initiatives—including a new campus ministry at the University of Ottawa and the re-planting of St. Alban’s Church near the University of Ottawa campus.

I had the chance to lead and help to stabilize this young church plant after the abrupt and difficult departure of its founding pastor.

I worked to develop community through coordinated events and ecumenical partnerships in Toronto's Rosedale & St. James Town neighbourhoods.

I worked to connect build partnerships with the local community to help the church respond to and better serve the needs of its neighbourhood.
