Azalia Suhaimi is a poet, illustrator, and overall, a storyteller. She tells stories via various forms of art, with the main goal of spreading love and kindness.She regularly shares her poetic words and illustrations to an engaged audience on social media and the subscribers of her email newsletter. These poetic words and illustrations centre upon the theme of self-compassion, particularly for mothers juggling the various demands of modern parenthood. Azalia's work on social media have been shared, reposted and featured on various media around the world, such as Huffpost, Yahoo News, Shape Magazine, Babycentre, Today's Parent and more.As a passionate illustrator, Azalia has founded her own line of merchandise featuring her illustrations. She sells t-shirts, tote bags, mugs, journals, stickers, and various stationeries showcasing her original designs and artworks. She has self-published books of poems and art on the themes of motherhood and self-care. She has also gotten some of her poems published in anthologies by publishers in Malaysia, UK & USA.She graduated with a degree in accountancy from University of New South Wales after high school, but later decided to pursue her passion by completing a Diploma in English Literature at the University of Cambridge. She is now doing an MA in Contemporary Creative Writing at Northeastern University, London. She hopes to publish more of her work upon completion of her MA.As her full-time job, she manages social media accounts for several brands in the parenting industry through her marketing and creative skills.Azalia is constantly exploring and experimenting with her creativity in writing and illustrating, and hopes to connect with interested agents or publishers.
