These duties also require analyzing and investigating adverse quality trends and conditions as well as initiating corrective actions to include material review. Additional responsibilities include directing, developing, and implementing quality assurance policies to support contract surveillance management.I also serve as technical advisor in special workgroups for evaluating proposed procedural changes to weapons system processing. These responsibilities require me to analyze and interpret policies and guidelines as well as assess the impacts of business processes and reengineering on quality assurance.Having access to sensitive material requires me to be a member of the Department of Defense’s Personnel Reliability Program (PRP). Being a member of the PRP ensures that my work and home life are in the highest order and that my character is beyond reproach. This access also requires that I hold a Top Secret-SCI security clearance. Interfacing with nuclear submarines, strategic weapons, and other sensitive materials requires me to maintain compliance with the Navy's Radiological Controls (RADON) program.

Ordnance Mechanic Senior

As an Ordnance Mechanic I was required to determine the sequence of events and equipment required to perform any post DD250 final assembly and disassembly of tasks related to missile operations such as packaging, unpackaging, modification, repair, checkout, testing, movement, removal and installation of mechanical and electrical components, mate and demate of warheads and related operations. Further, I was required to determine methods, tools, equipment and handling techniques necessary to carry out special alterations on missile/warhead system hardware. These actions included authorized repairs, component replacement, testing, checkout and inspection of warheads. The setup and operation of low-level radiographic equipment and associated film processing machines during the inspection of warheads/components was also required.Maintaining compliance with the DoD's Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) and Radiological Controls (RADCON) program was required.Secret Security Clearance required.

Missile Technician

As the Assistant Radiological Control Supervisor, I was responsible for the implementation of formal procedures when responding to nuclear emergencies. These procedures provide fast response to determine potential dangers to military and civilian personnel. I was also responsible for the inventory and maintenance of over 100 radiacs, which are required to be in a high state of readiness. Additionally, I served as a mentor for new personnel when it comes to learning their duties and qualifications.As a Missile Technician (MT), I have received advanced training in electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. My experience includes maintaining networked computer systems, troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment that is an essential part of the fire control and launcher subsystems that comprise the Trident I (C4)/II (D5) missile systems, maintain operating efficiency of electrical distribution panels, switches, switchboards, controllers, voltage regulators, current transformers, rectifiers and voltage transformers. My experience with high pressure pneumatic and hydraulic systems ranges from operation to calibrating reducers and rebuilding valves. I have performed all of these tasks both as a worker and as a supervisor.Quality Assurance (QA)Formally trained through the Navy’s QA school, I was responsible for developing procedures to build and repair components vital to the safe operation of the nuclear submarine USS Ohio (SSBN/SSGN 726).Having access to nuclear weapons required me to be a member of the Department of Defense’s Personnel Reliability Program (PRP). Being a member of this program ensure that both my work and home life are in the highest order and that I am of upstanding character.Throughout my time in the Navy I have been responsible for the upkeep of classified documents and material. All of which have received the highest marks upon inspection.
