I am part of a team that is responsible for providing oversight and guidance for IT projects to ensure that our solutions are aligned with the organization’s objectives and GC policy and direction. We also endeavor to remain current through research and prototyping of current industry trends and provide support to our development teams. We are engaged in:- Organizing and leading governance committees and working groups- Researching and documenting technical standards- Providing architectural assessments of all IT solutions being developed at TC against departmental and GC standards, policies and directives- Opportunities to work with all levels of the organization from front line programs to the Office of the Assistant Deputy Minister- Author whitepapers and provide recommendations on emerging trends and technologies- Developing proof of concept and prototype solutions with emerging technologies- Developing and maintaining information in our planned EA repository- Working with multi-disciplinary groups across the organization to help them deliver quality products and services to CanadiansExamples of Duties:- Architectural Governance- Performing intake and triage of projects coming through TC architectural governance- Performing preliminary analysis of the proposed solution architecture or provided materials- Working with stakeholders to identify missing information- Attending governance and briefing meetings and providing updates and recommendations- Maintain TC’s list of technical standardso Updating lifecycle and version information for approved standards- Researching new candidate technologies and methodologies for consideration- Emerging Technologies and standards- Researching and developing prototypes- Authoring whitepapers and providing recommendations on the right-fit for new technologies within TC’s technology portfolio

I worked with a team of medical students, residents and physicians to help design and develop new digital tools for the Department of Family Medicine. I was also involved in various aspects of the projects creation from concept to finished product including coding, programming, audio, design, production and visual arts.Projects include:- Turning ideas into code to create video games to help medical students practice and improve their clinical skills- Helping with the integration of new technologies (such as AR, VR, AI)- Exploring and/or developing new digital tools to improve the overall efficiency of our departmentResponsibilities:- Gathering user requirements- Translating requirements into complicated but clean and efficient code- Constructing the base or the engine on which the game/application will run- Developing flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions- Producing prototypes of gameplay ideas and features- Generating game scripts and storyboards- Contributing to the design and audio features of the game- Creating unit tests and validation procedures to assure quality- Executing full software development life cycle (SDLC)- Producing technical specifications and determine operational feasibility
