Water Treatment Design Engineer
· Led projects from business case through to optioneering, ensuring stakeholder engagement, along with supporting several other projects, for example reviewing P&ID’s (process and instrumentation drawings) for approval.· Generated process calculations for chemical usage, storage capacities and hydraulic losses to prove operability. · Exploration of carbon footprint, CAPEX, OPEX, risks, buildability, and maintainability using tools such as SWIFT, ALM and HAZOP studies.· PMO reporting for project reviews ensuring projects are on track.· Produced simple step by step “how to” guides for new processes being implemented into business as usual.Key Achievement· Successfully managed a Sodium Hydroxide chemical storage and bulk chemical delivery upgrade project with a value of £1.2m through optioneering and design. I ensured a suitable solution adhering to H&S standards futureproofing the site capacity was communicated through all stakeholders. Throughout the optioneering I was able to deliver a solution with a total of £80k pa in savings. This was recognised by senior engineers as creative and impactful problem-solving for the site reducing OPEX costs.
