I was responsible for corporate communication as part of business development team for the company having presence in Pakistan and the Middle East. This position was part of the business development team reporting to the top management. Responsibility included: * Writing marketing literature for a multi-dimensional engineering, construction, maintenance, project management and EPC company with presence in Pakistan, Qatar, KSA, and UAE. * Editor and contributing writer for Descon Newsletter.* Meeting and managing press and publication related space reservation and material submission deadlines. * Organised and managed in-house designing of a 6 page special supplement in Pakistan’s leading and the oldest English language daily Dawn newspaper. This was to commemorate completion and inauguration of the first EPC Mirani dam project. Achievement of a major milestone in the company and Pakistan’s history. I also was a contributing writer in this supplement.* Instrumental in developing company marketing material including corporate ads and brochures. * Creating and proof reading content for company websites and publications including copywriting for corporate advertisements appearing in leading Pakistani and Middle Eastern newspapers and supplements. * Responsible for keeping a liaison with the press, advertising agency and vendors for ensuring quality designing and printing of newsletter, greeting cards, calendars, diaries and giveaways for use within the company and to targeted audience outside. * Ensuring and organizing company participation at industry specific exhibitions.
