Hi, my name is Azima Koya. Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I am a graduate of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology’s Health Science program, majoring in Public Health. I currently work with the City of Markham as an Information Services Attendant, where I manage the community centers cash influx, process program registrations, and address customer questions and complaints.Looking at my educational background, work experiences, and extracurricular commitments, it is suffice to say that I possess a great deal of interest in project coordination and management. I am a goal-oriented individual who thrives to achieve the highest level of success by going beyond expectations. I also have a great deal of experience working with large and small groups on numerous projects, occupying various roles such as being team lead, treasurer, and event coordinator. I am highly interested in health promotion and disease prevention, as well as policy analysis and development. With the significant lack of accessible and affordable healthcare, especially in the Aboriginal communities and regions up north, countless individuals find themselves suffering not only mentally, but emotionally, and physically as well. As a Canadian citizen, I acknowledge the Canadian healthcare system can be better. Thus, with adequate attention, sufficient guidance, and regular management, I believe we can make Canada a better place to live for everyone. Consequently, as my career develops I hope to be able to make positive advancements towards healthcare, making it truly a universal system.
