Instances of change within a non-profit can be the most intimidating as it relates to gaining and maintaining support from constituents. As a development, communications, and marketing consultant, I work alongside organizations as they navigate change. I am responsible for transforming and growing DAPs overall fundraising, development, and communications program. As a member of the executive leadership team, I help DAP form a vision for the future and build upon DAP’s strong reputation in ending domestic violence in our community via a robust development and communications strategy. As interim Executive Director of the Red Ribbon Ride, I developed and produced the Minnesota Red Ribbon Ride, a 300-mile charity bike ride over 4 days in the fight against HIV/AIDS. I built and managed all donor, vendor and sponsorship relationships. I also facilitated 6 operations committees to build and execute a successful multi-day charity event. To build and develop a successful marketing and communications campaign, I hired and supervised an employee. To ensure the success of the Red Ribbon Ride and establish a strong legacy, I worked closely with the board of directors and the incoming Executive Director on strategic planning.

As Outreach Manager for the Red Ribbon Ride, the fourth largest multi-day HIV/AIDS bike ride in the country, I facilitate all recruitment efforts, as well as build stronger community and volunteer involvement surrounding the Ride and our other events. I utilize marketing and recruitment practices as I source universities, local corporations and service organizations for both riding and crewing during our event. We support eight local HIV/AIDS service organizations as they carry out their missions.
