My passion for computer science was instilled at a young age. Lots of books, games, various computers, and countless challenging projects later - the fire is still there, burning even stronger. Hi, my name is Azmat and I am a proud dad, technology strategy/transformation specialist, and a data scientist, among other things. I enjoy solving problems with tech.In a previous life, I was a software engineer managing large scale projects, across industries, startups, and legendary companies like Motorola. I’ve also worked on true data science projects with R, regression, Python, and other statistical methods. Now though, I’ve shifted my focus and efforts on digital transformations and mergers and acquisitions in the Fintech/FS industry helping my clients achieve efficiency, performance improvement, and their strategic goals.I am also a gifted multi-tasker. Don’t believe me? Well, in 2012, I was managing a team of 50 talented software engineers, BAs, QAs, and architects, digitally transforming one of the biggest retail brokerage/investment banks in Mexico City. We built digital solutions, proprietary enterprise software, tested Blockchain solutions, and everything in between… and then every weekend, I flew back to Chicago where I was completing my MBA in Strategy, Operations, International Business, and Econometrics. It was a challenging and enjoyable time with passion fueling my drive. Countless bouts of jet lag, an MBA, and a successful greenfield project later, I accepted a role at KPMG in its Strategy practice where I currently leverage my practitioner’s knowledge and software experience to help clients assess digital solutions, M&As, and transform digitally. It's a nice blend of my FS, technology, and transformation experience bundled in one role.
