1) Lead and Manage the operation of Tool Shop.2) Develops and implements optimal, cost-effective fabrication support for production fixtures and tools.3) Collaborate with the engineering staff to produce design, sketches and drawings in accordance with applicable standards. 4) Involved in the initial concept and design of a projects.5) Plan annual budget and business plan for tool shop 6) Ensure Tool Shop machines are in good condition with implementation of effective preventive maintenance plan. 7) Drive cost saving improvement for fabrication parts (reduce the dependence of external supplier)

1. Co-operate with die designer to review customer proposed product model and advise manufacturability2. Attend product design review with product designer to ensure manufacturable design concept is adopted 3. Support R&D sample builds and perform material evaluation as requested. 4. Ensure all the Tooling soft copies, and hard copies are properly maintained 5. Follow up on new Tooling fabrication schedule to ensure timely completion of NPI projects6. Provide failure analysis & corrective action for failed sample runs due to tooling related issues. 7. Buy-off new / transfer Tooling per Molex Tooling standard 8. Assist Toolmaker in Tooling improvement related to Tooling design change 9. Train Toolmaker / process engineer / production personnel regarding new / transfer tooling SOP 10. Prepare necessary document for tooling RTM & product engineering review presentation 11. Work closely with die designer and process engineer on tooling modification for cost reduction and continuous process and quality improvement.12. Use Six Sigma ‘DMAIC’ methodologies to work on continuous improvement project 13. Certify operators in assigned processes.

1. Establish and manage production operations based on master schedules, equipment efficiencies and materials availability.2. Ensure parts produced are according to quantity and quality requirements and coordinate with relevant departments if there is any variance of specifications.3. Supervise a team of production staff and technician to ensure that the tasks are implemented as per set schedule and standard.4. Plan and manage the modification, Installation, maintenance and repair of Tooling and machineries.5. Ensure that Good Engineering Practices are being applied at all times including safety and health aspects.
