I have experience in team management including directing the work of research associates, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and Ph.D. and M.D. level senior staff.I have an extensive background in offering scientific support to senior management, research, clinical, business and marketing groups. I participated in, initiated and directed research and early stage drug development project teams that delivered compounds to safety and clinical development for therapies for osteoporosis, women’s and men’s endocrine diseases, sarcopenia, BPH, prostate cancer, inflammatory and immunological diseases. I have authored over 70 original research publications and reviews, and the inventor of 16 patents.Specialties: My experience includes novel target identification, target validation and lead identification, lead optimization and developing animal models. I have extensive experience in identifying and using biomarkers in preclinical drug development and in bridging preclinical information to clinical findings. I have special interest in targeting the glucocorticoid receptor for the treatment of inflammatory diseases and cancer.
