In my capacity providing research and advisory services to the oil palm plantation industry, I've undertaken several key initiatives that underscore my commitment and value to the sector:Initiated a novel trial with a colleague to investigate frond snapping incidents within oil palm plantations. Our efforts included collaboration with the GPS/GIS department to incorporate automated sensors for pH, moisture, and field water table data collection.Took a leading role in the Drainage Improvement Project, working under the close supervision of the Director of Research. This project involved exploring alternative hydrological data analysis using QGIS and automating the piezometer data collection using the LoRa Protocol, in close partnership with AAR's principal.Conducted thorough desktop studies on several lands on the market for AAR's principal company. My reports on the land suitability and potential for future projects, based on data analysis using QGIS, directly impacted the Board of Directors' decisions regarding land purchases.These experiences highlight my skills in research, data analysis, and project management, as well as my ability to deliver impactful advisories in the oil palm plantation industry

I had the opportunity to be involved in the new project that could potentially change the way our broad-acre farmers manage their crops using the technology produced by a team at Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers. As a part of the N-Spectre Project, I have been given the opportunity to :-- Provide feedbacks into testing multiple new devices in the N-Spectre Project- Regular overnight travels to rural areas to collect samples from trial sites- Processing samples onsite and preparing samples for CSBP lab- Ensuring field equipment adequately maintained during project period- Working with different organisation to work on smaller trial plots such as with Kalyx Australia *Due to confidentiality of the N-Spectre Project, any questions related to the project should be directed to CSBP.

I had the opportunity to investigate the ecophysiology of Woody Pear (Xylomelum occidentale), one of WA endemic species. Unlike other Proteaceae species that are known for their strategy of carboxylate exudation from cluster roots to mine scarcely available soil P, Woody Pear does not seem to use the same method. I explored this topic by collecting the plant samples from Swan Coastal Plain in addition to running the experiment in a hydroponic setting. While I was working in UWA, I had the opportunity to :-• Discuss and provide input into planning and design of experiment with supervisor• Obtaining scientific research permit to collect samples from local authorities• Growing and maintaining plants in hydroponics experiment in UWA Plant Growth Facilities• Providing assistance to fellow PhD students• Ensuring laboratory and field equipment adequately maintained during experiment period
