Master internship Project Title: "Pain induced the Plasticity of the RXFP3/RLN3 system in the mouse Amygdala"During this Master's internship, our focus was on investigating the dynamic changes within the RXFP3/RLN3 system in response to pain stimuli in the mouse amygdala. Specifically, we delved into the role of Relaxin-3 in modulating pain perception and the expression patterns of its receptor RXFP3 in the amygdala, utilizing an inflammatory pain model induced by Complete Freund's Adjuvant (CFA).Our approach involved a comprehensive study incorporating various methodologies, including pain tests, pharmacological interventions, RNA in situ hybridization, brain clearing techniques, and immunohistochemistry. Through these methods, we aimed to unravel the intricate mechanisms underlying the interplay between the RXFP3/RLN3 system and pain processing in the amygdala, shedding light on potential therapeutic avenues for pain management.
