- Direct material purchasing using KB system, pulling materials from Mexico, USA and Asia.- Working based on KPIs: 0 past due on production orders; inventory level (monthly target). - Solving quality rejections with suppliers and following corrective actions with Quality.- Negotiations with the DCs and Customer Agencies about the dates and quantities of orders loaded on my production cells.

- Responsible of purchasing international raw material components; my purchasing group includes rubber, steel and packaging components from Asia and Europe (70%), North America (20%) and National suppliers (10%). - I work with Planning department in order to get the updated forecast of my components and expedite material or bring the purchasing process forward with my suppliers if required. - Responsible of the on time deliveries from my suppliers. In order to reach the lead time commitment I follow the In Transit time with the Logistics department and also the Customs performance for my material importation process. - I am part of the NPD team, in order to get the new part numbers or engineering changes on time. The main activities I develop with Engineering are: request of quotations, tooling implementation, request of samples to PPAP approval, and new product introduction to mass production. - SAP system usage

- Pre fabricated steel components’ buyer (direct material) for Caterpillar facilities outside Mexico including price negotiation - Responsible for Shipping and Delivery performance metrics of the suppliers under my purchasing group - Periodical price increase revision due to steel price adjustment - Team work with Quality department to keep in control the supplier’s performance (PPAP on time, PPM’s, %USD rejected)- Periodicals visits to supplier’s facilities when developing new projects in order to ensure the success of them (audits) - Responsible of the implementation of the Capacity Planning with Mexican suppliers - Search & development of new suppliers to meet the requirements that each USA facility had

- Responsible of the strategic negotiations for 6 different Ternium’ plants; this negotiation represented around 48 MUSD per year and the duration of the contracts was 5 years. - Implementation of the integrated services purchase (including materials, personnel and equipment) - Responsible of the services contracts from other plants on Mexico (Puebla, Colima, Veracruz) - Responsible for the follow up of the Corporate Compliance Audits - SAP sytem usage

- I participated in the relocation of painting production lines for BMW and Ford projects - Daily production approval based on appearance and dimensions of final product - Responsible for the follow up of the External Quality Audits issues - Participation in the TPS (Toyota Production System) implementation project - Manage and update of all the ISO TS documentation related to painting quality process - Implementation of the SPC quality method - Personnel management (Quality Inspectors) - SAP system usage
