I was managing the property with its 35 design apartments made for short term stays.I was in charge of keeping the contacts with the owners, the collaborators, the providers as well as the guests. Also, I was responsible for the accounting of the company. I had to organize and schedule the maintenance and the housekeeping teams.

For my second internship I decided to go to W Barcelona, a luxury vanguard hotel targeting younger people and large groups. There I was working as Group Sales Managers Assistant and I was in charge of helping during the negotiations for small and large groups as well as preparing contracts and taking the possible clients on a tour of the venue. All this made me understand exactly what is it an office job and how to deal with potential guests having also big responsibilities on me. I developed even more my computer and interpersonal skills as well as a better use of the professional language. It was a very interesting job and I quickly learned how to make propositions for big and small events, considering the amount of people, the season, the occupancy and all the factors that have an influence on the price.

I did my first 6 months internship in Hotel Æmilia, a business hotel focused mainly on small groups and transients. It has been a very good experience and as the hotel is not too big, as soon as I learned how to manage myself inside the business they gave me more responsibilities and, after I asked, also the chance to see different outlets and departments of the hotel, in order to learn always more from this experience.For the first period of three months I was the F&B Manager Assistant and I was working as a waiter during the dinner shift and later I worked as bar tender for other two months. These experiences made me grow a lot in the sense that I improved my time management and organizational skills working mainly alone or just back to back with the Manager. I also developed a leadership skill as I was often in charge of leading other trainees during events or teaching the new ones the standards of the company. During my last month I was working in the reception and I was always taking good care and providing useful information to the guests checking in or willing to visit the city, improving even more my natural interpersonal skills.
