Mr. Stamper's Portfolio Management of this Fund was under three different Fund Managers: Davis Advisers (the first 9 years: 5 as a Davis Employee, then 4 as an employee of the Fund's Sub-Adviser, Stamper Capital), Evergreen Funds (the next 11 years: as an employee of the Fund's Sub-Adviser, Stamper Capital), Wells Fargo (approx. one year concurrent with Evergreen as an employee of the Fund's Sub-Adviser), and Wells Fargo (60 days under the Wells Fargo Strategic Municipal Bond Fund name, as an employee of the Fund's Sub-Adviser, Stamper Capital). Importantly, Wells Fargo took over Evergreen/Wachovia at the end of the 2008/2009 Financial Crisis. Approximately a year later in May 2010, a Wells Fargo municipal bond fund was merged into Evergreen Strategic Municipal Bond Fund ("The Survivor" - VMPYX, VMPAX, etc.) and its name was changed to Wells Fargo Strategic Municipal Bond Fund. Importantly, the Evergreen Fund Mr. Stamper was Portfolio Manager of for over 20 years was "The Survivor" - the track record of it under its new name (Wells Fargo Strategic Municipal Bond Fund) is the one under Mr. Stamper's Portfolio Management from June 1990 through mid July 2010. While Mr. Stamper was the Fund's Portfolio Manager for 20 years, Stamper Capital & Investments, Inc. was the Fund's Sub-adviser for 15 years.
