  Following my graduation with master’s degree in business in Germany and many years work experience in auditing, accounting areas for German and US companies, I am currently working as controller in a German manufacturing company in NC, responsible for establishing of SAP modules and controlling functions. Prior to this position, I was working as VP of Finance/CFO at a US group of German companies in IL and TN. In this role, I was responsible for Financial, HR, PR and administrative aspects of the group companies and DC's. This also included the implementation of SAP modules in cooperation with IT consultants and Parent company in Germany. Under my responsibility, we routinely generated reports and performance analysis as an integral part of management tools for identifying of risks, weaknesses and also strengths in various operational areas.During a state tax audit, I was able to prove the authorities’ errors in tax audit results and avoid paying over $520k in sales and use tax. In 2003, I was transferred from Germany to the United States for developing and establishing a comprehensive controlling (management accounting) system in accordance with US-GAAP and company requirements. The goal was to support corporate key decision-makers by providing proper reports and analysis for identification of weaknesses and suggestion of needed actions for improvements. The created transparency by the new system enabled managers and the parent company to review the outcome of decisions and evaluate the results. As manager of controlling department in Germany, I established a contribution margin reporting system, supervised the implementation of a new ERP system and defined various modifications. On my own initiatives, the company realized the acquisition of an engine development project for over $100M. My activities at auditing companies included auditing procedures based on German rules (HGB), including risk-oriented system checks, and identification of weaknesses.
