Faces Of The Future-Ems Program Manager

Denver, Co, Us

The Program Manager for the new Denver Health-DPS FACES-EMS Program will be conducted through the Department of Government and Community Affairs & the Denver Health Paramedic Division. The Denver Health Paramedic Division runs more than 100,000 911 calls a year. Upon completion, students are taught the skill sets needed to take an Emergency Medical Technician exam upon completion for their National Registry certification. The FACES Program was created in 2000 by two pediatricians specializing in adolescent health. The successful FACES program has expanded throughout the nation to now include Denver. FACES programs target highly resilient and motivated youth who come from socioeconomically disadvantaged and underserved communities, and work to improve academic and health outcomes through their interventions. Since the inception of FACES at Denver Health, the City and County of Denver has even further developed a need for understanding the amount our youth are underserved and underrepresented in professional roles in Denver’s communities. The community’s future-bound youth, if provided with proper tools and skill sets to empower themselves, may conquer any plausible path they choose while giving back to others. Furthermore, if students can serve their communities one day as medical professionals or technicians, students have the ability to engage with an additional set of tools as they actively serve as cultural community leaders.
