• Directed the Pennsylvania State Education Association’s “All In” Campaign initiative in Bucks and Montgomery Counties to ensure the election of a pro-education governor in 2014.• Recruited, organized and trained retired PSEA members to conduct trainings for over 250 school building action coordinators in a month. •Developed a statewide grassroots coalition movement in Central Pennsylvania to advocate for public education reform that led to public education being the first priority in the 2002 gubernatorial election.•Established 80 plus Groups of Ten, which served as study groups for educating and mobilizing advocates on education reform issues, to write letters and to meet with state leaders. •Recruited, educated and provided a structure for advocates to call for State Leaders to implement a costing out study and to develop a funding formula for schools. Implemented a costing out study in 2006, by mobilizing advocates state-wide to meet with State Law makers and challenge them to support the study.•Organized press conferences, town meetings, training events, candidate debates, surveys and workshops on the state budget, No Child Left Behind and understanding the funding formula to keep advocates active and engaged in state education reform strategies. •Worked collaboratively with the Philadelphia Law Center and the Education Policy and Leadership Center to take steps with legislative champions to provide adequate funding for special education. •Met regularly with the Pennsylvania State Director of Policy and the President and Chair of the House Education Committee to work strategically in advancing proven practices, and closing both the achievement and funding gaps in Pennsylvania school districts. •Took the lead in Central Pennsylvania in meeting with over 200 school superintendents, Intermediate Unit Directors, staff and community leaders to ensure that districts and communities were involved in the accountability standards of the new funding formula enacted in 2007.
