I co-founded Mettle-Edge with Nick Jeffers, the product side of Enovus Labs consultancy. Leveraging years of advanced technology development and innovation, we created our inaugural product, Segri-COOL. Segri-COOL represents a groundbreaking cooling solution addressing the critical challenges of size, weight, and carbon footprint.

Shifted career direction towards working on converting research assets into functional, memorable and engaging technology demonstrators. Project Managed numerous projects to successful demonstration at external global events such as Mobile World Congress and internal demos for the Global Leadership Team and the Board of Directors. Engaged in outreach programs to increase Nokia Bell Labs' visibility both locally and globally through events such as BT Young Scientist and Other Voices music festival.Lead Industrial Designer and Project Manager on numerous high profile field trailable prototypes such the world’s first portable Optical Coherence Tomography device (laser based scanner for 3D visualisation of skin layers for healthcare), Wave Division Multiplexor (WDM) rack mounted optical switch, 4G Drone Deployed Small Cell and bespoke 4G Base Station for Moon deployment.

Promoted to Senior Member of Technical Staff (Senior MTS) in recognition of tech transfer, research outputs and growing both the research group and lab capabilities. Continued collaboration efforts with Trinity College Dublin and was awarded Adjunct Assistant Professorship for long standing contributions to the university. Designed and built numerous technology demonstrators focused on achieving buy in from company Business Units. Designed, built and installed demonstrators at world class events such as MWC Barcelona and MWC Shanghai.

Promoted to MTS level researcher and successfully created an internship program with Trinity College Dublin's Mechanical Engineering department in order to create a supply chain of talented researchers into our research group. Mentored Ph.D candidates and ~20 intern students who all received First Class Honours awards for their work. Successfully managed tech transfer of Batteries Cooling Technology to Irish start-up company. Identified and hired numerous candidates into the thermal group growing from 3 to 18 members while expanding in-house lab capabilities. Filed numerous patents, received Technical Excellence Awards and published numerous journal articles.[work performed for Alcatel-Lucent's Bell Labs, prior to Nokia's acquisition in 2015]

Post-Doc Member of Technical Staff (PMTS) tasked with solving Alcatel-Lucent's (now Nokia Bell Lab’s) business unit thermal problems, IP creation and out licencing. Joining the newly created Thermal Management Research Group, we had a strong focus on developing industry and academic ties, building a research lab and growing the research group. Undertook successful filing of IP, presentation at international conferences and journal publications and design and build of critical lab testing equipment.[work performed for Alcatel-Lucent's Bell Labs, prior to Nokia's acquisition in 2015]
