B.E. Thompson, Director of Development – LifeStream Behavioral Center, Inc.Mr Thompson has been employed with LifeStream since 1996. He currently holds the position of Director of Development, which includes grant development and management, coordination of special events, community outreach, cultivating donors, and serving as a government liaison. Recently, his duties expanded to include acquisition, rehabilitation and management of HOPE Springs Villas, a 35-unit affordable housing property acquired through HUD’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Previous LifeStream positions include Grants Administrator; Administrator of LifeStream Academy (LAKE Academy) – a day school for children grades K-12 with emotional and behavioral challenges; and, Director of Child Care Choice Services, Lake County’s school readiness and voluntary pre-kindergarten program. Mr. Thompson has a history of developing and implementing youth prevention/early intervention and academic programs for school and community environments. His prior work experience includes five year in municipal government as a program coordinator and grant manager. Mr. Thompson has a successful history of securing and managing grant and contracts from local, state, federal, corporate, public and private funding sources. He also serves on 16 local, state and nonprofit boards.
